WE HAVE JUST BEEN TO MEXICO, part 2, Banyan Tree Mayakoba

Sales Manager Ulrika Thelander continues her Mexican journey.  This rewarding tropical destination is now one of her declared favourites...

Turquoise sea.

White sands.

Mayakoba has it all. In this lush tropical reserve, Banyan Tree Mayakoba offers pool villa accommodation. That makes a lot of water - on top of all the lagoons and the ocean.

Perfect for couples or families who want a lot of privacy, the villas all have a wall around them,  enclosing private garden with pool. Altogether there are 107 villas with one, two or three bedrooms.

A private pool fronting a beachfront villa.

It is quite far between the main area and beach where the 3 Bedroom Beachfront villas are. These beachfront accommodations can be booked as one or two bedroom villas, depending on season.

Master bedroom
All inevitably stylish ... it's Banyan Tree.

The hotel has four different restaurants. Down by the beach and pool, Sands has an attractive setting and location. Breakfast is served in the restaurant up by the Main building so we had a buggy to pick us up.

Good start today...

Activities: There are bicycles to rent.  The Mayakoba championship golf course can be seen beside the path to the beach. There are plenty of activities for children including Mangrove Boat Tours, free nonmotorized watersports etc.

The Banyan Tree Spa is fantastic with a great portfolio of different treatments, located in the main area together with the Banyan Tree Shop and other boutiques.

Lobby - stylishly contmporary...
I would recommend this hotel for all people who want a lot of privacy and in villa dining.
